Tests carried out on a wide variety of jobs have shown that the gas fluxer process reduces brazing times by an average of 40%. Brazed joints are so good that paint can normally be applied without any need for further preparation. The gas fluxer is mainly intended for use with oxy-acetylene equipment. Acetylene passes through the gas fluxer as a vapour picking up exactly the right amount of flux and puts it in the flame for uninterrupted brazing. Brazed joints are strong, smooth, non-porous and free from glassy flux residues so there are no rejects! 

The Model 'W' Gas Fluxer is a British manufactured unit with a tank capacity of 5 litres. This system allows the operator to bypass the flux reservoir for normal welding without the need for any disconnecting of hoses.

The Autofluxer M.3 by Protechno is made of a cast aluminium tank with a capacity of approximately 2.6 litres. The Autofluxer M.3 can have it’s capacity doubled or trebled by adding one or two tanks.

Superior Gas Flux

Our Superior Gas Flux is a colourless, flammable liquid containing a special blend of Methyl Borate and Methanol. It is also a cleaning agent and as such has consistently been proven to provide operators with improved productivity through less down time and reduced costs for the repair or replacement of equipment. Supplied in 5 litre containers. 

The use of blue safety spectacles is recommended when using the gas flux process as these enable the green gas flux flame to be more easily seen and adjusted. This not only helps improve on the quality of work but can also save on excess acetylene being used, which will be seen as a shadow. Plasmasafe glasses are available with a Cobalt Blue shade 5 lense.
